Documentary Filmmaking
The opportunity to tell stories through documentary film has been nothing short of incredible. Many amazing individuals in the world have amazing stories to tell - on tradition, culture, passions, and life in general. Most come from ordinary people. From these stories, we takeaway new perspectives and wisdom. Here are the ones I've captured.
Donny's Garage
Coming Soon - Summer. 2026
A personal project I shot over the summer, this documentary features Donny, a man in my neighborhood I met while walking my dog. Asking about his mysterious car collection turned into a walkthrough of his fully restored 1941 Willys vehicles, along with a handful of stories.

Jim Birk's Estate
A Different Kind of Peace
August 2025
In the midst of putting a home up for sale, my dad asked if I could make a short film on the property and tell the story of how the owner shaped the land. Everything on the five acre lot was built from the ground up, with decades of hard work put into it. Mr. Birk tells the story of how things came to be and his connection to the property.
Circle of Life
Philosophy of Two Hunters
December 2024
Hunting was a subject I never quite understood, which is why I sought to explore the perspectives behind it. Zac Conti, a fraternity brother, and Damon Bungard, an local avid hunter, brought fascinating insights to the subject that expanded my views. Here I learned the incredible value of learning as a documentary filmmaker and how amazing it is to walk away from a production with a more open-minded view of the world.
Sacred Trails
April 2024
My final film for a documentary production class circled around Ralph Robertson, the man with the "charismatic drawl" from Narrows, VA. Ralph is an avid outdoorsman and takes great pride in taking care of his nature trails. Hearing his story and exploring his trails was one of my favorite experiences at Virginia Tech, he is truly one of a kind.
